Best Surf Season (May - August)

The South Pacific storm track jolts to life during the austral autumn and winter, and El Muro feels the pulse almost immediately. Average swell heights climb to a dependable 6ft (1.8m) with periods holding from 12.8 to 13.2 seconds, while the majority of energy rolls in from the optimal SW and WSW quadrants. The wind factor is still the catch-true offshore/easterly flow only reaches 5-6 percent-but that small window is enough to turn a lumpy winter beach into a lined-up, long-period wall for a few hours at dawn.
