September is one of the wettest months of the year, and the surf statistics reflect the same pattern: average swell height around 1ft (0.3m), average period 14.2s, and an almost monotonous SSW dominance at 74.8%. S adds 11.5%, SSE 0.4% and SW 11.8%, for a combined 98.5% from the preferred quadrant. Yet the height bins are stuck in the 0-1.6ft (0-0.5m) zone, with only a combined 0.6% of the total reaching 1.6-3.3ft (0.5-1m), all from southern directions.
