Today's Surf Conditions at Shivas
Best Surf Season & Climatology
Best Surf Season (November - February)
The surf year at Shivas is dictated by the Indian monsoon. During the northeast monsoon, from roughly November through February, the wind machine flips to the offshore quadrant - NNE, NE, ENE and E - and this southwest-facing beach turns clean. Average swells remain modest at 2-3ft (0.5-1m), but they arrive with 8-11s of period and often from the preferred SSW, SW, WSW and W directions. This is the most consistent stretch for groomed, rippable waves, with ideal surf conditions around 57-61% of the time and almost no rainfall.
