Best Surf Season (December - March)

The coolest and driest months are El Faro's cleanest. High pressure over mainland Mexico and the subtropical eastern Pacific establishes a consistent offshore flow from the N/NNE/NW/NNW quadrant, with ideal surfing conditions 52-63% of the time. Long-period SSW/S swell in the 3-5ft (1-1.5m) range rolls in on 13-13.5s periods, while water temps stay a warm 27-28°C. The result is groomed, rippable lines with far fewer blown-out days.
