September is the crown jewel of the La Saladita calendar. Average swell height peaks at 5-6ft (1.7m), with an average period of 13.0s-long-period and powerful. The directional spread includes SSW (58.9%), S (19.6%), SW (14.0%), and a growing SSE component (2.0%), reflecting the peak of eastern-Pacific hurricane and tropical-storm activity. The height distribution is the most top-heavy of the year: SSW delivers 25.0% in the 1.5-2m band, 5.8% in the 2-2.5m band, and even a small slice over 2.5m. SW and S add another 10%+ of 1.5-2m waves, so this is prime 'pumping, heavy, firing' territory.

Wind quality also peaks. Ideal wind hits 48%, the best of the year, as SE (14.2%), SSE (9.5%), and ESE (8.4%) feed a stable offshore/easterly flow. The onshore west block is at its weakest (roughly 26%). Expect clean, glassy conditions more often than not, especially in the morning. Water temperature is 30.1°C, air temperature 26.3°C, and precipitation is high at 7.65 mm/day-but storms often form in the afternoon and leave the morning swell pristine. September is the month to chase.
