The critical advantage is angle: SW/WSW energy accounts for the majority of the spectrum, with SSW as a secondary contributor. The dry season keeps the skies largely clear, and ideal offshore winds from the NE/ENE/E/ESE still show up 36-42% of the time, especially in the mornings. With water temperatures in the warm 27.8-28.8°C range, this is the most dependable window for quality, rippable surf.
