The ITCZ migrates north and the South Pacific westerlies generate frequent SSW/SW groundswell that lines up almost perfectly with Playa Teta. Average wave heights hover around 2ft (0.6m), but the prolonged 12-14s periods make every wave more organized than the raw number suggests. July and August stand out for the highest percentage of offshore NNW/NW wind, creating glassy mornings and rideable, fun-sized surf.
