The real problem is wind. NE (21.4%) and ENE (14.5%) dominate, putting a choppy, lumpy texture on the waves, while SSW (16.2%) and S (10.4%) add further instability. Ideal surfing wind blows only 15 percent of the time, so conditions are often marginal. Score an early glassy session and you will find fun, rippable peaks; wait too long and the summer seabreeze will chop them up.
