November: Summerisation Begins, East Swell on the Menu

November is the bridge between the last winter groundswell and the prevailing summer regime. Average height eases to 1.9m and the period drops to 10.2s, reflecting a less organised, more locally generated mix. Good news: the E/ESE/SE/SSE window is back to 41.9 per cent, so when Nahoon gets waves, they often arrive from a favourable angle. The E component is solid at 10.1 per cent, with a good chunk in the 1.5-2m and 2-2.5m classes. Bad news: S/SSW swells still account for around 42 per cent, and ideal winds sink to 17 per cent. ENE at 17.5 per cent and NE at 15.6 per cent are the dominant airflows, with SW at 13.4 per cent and WSW at 12.4 per cent providing occasional relief. W/NW winds are almost negligible.

Expect warmer air averaging 20.3°C, rising water temperatures at 20.2°C, and more rain at 4.23mm/day as thunderstorms become a regular afternoon feature. Keep an eye on coastal lows - they can spin up the E/ESE swell that makes November's early mornings worth the wait.
