Best Surf Season (September - November)

Autumn is when Omaezaki hits its stride. The Pacific typhoon corridor is still warm, and passing tropical systems pump long-period groundswell into the region, with average periods climbing to 8-9s. The wind statistics also turn: ideal wind conditions peak at 26% in October and 25% in November as the first continental high-pressure cells push offshore northerly flow through the Enshu Nada. While the dominant swell rose still carries a high percentage of E/ESE windswell, the S/SSW/SW window becomes more consistent, and when a strong typhoon hugs the southern coast, the SSW-facing beach lights up with clean, powerful surf.
