These classic 'nortes' are the bread and butter of the surfing calendar here, reinforcing the north-facing fetch and sending consistent pulses of N, NNE, NE and NNW swell toward the beach. Averages hover around 1.1m with periods in the 6.8s range - enough to turn the local peaks into punchy, fun-sized waves. Ideal offshore winds from the south through southwest blow roughly 21-23% of the time, usually ahead of each front, setting up clean, glassy morning sessions.
