Best Surf Season (January - March)
The heart of the surf year at P-Land lines up with the dry-season trade-wind regime. The Atlantic subtropical high builds, shunting the Intertropical Convergence Zone south and allowing the NE-ENE-E-ESE offshore wind corridor to blow across the wave face. Combined with a steady diet of long-period SSW/SW groundswell - average heights around 2-3ft (0.5-1m) with periods in the 12-13s range - this creates the cleanest, most consistent surf of the year. February is the standout month with ideal surf wind more than 45 percent of the time, but January and March are right on its heels.
