February: Warm Water, Short-Period Southern Swell

February mirrors January's summer pattern with an average swell of 1.4m (4.6ft) and a slightly longer period of 11.5s. SW swell again dominates at 50.9%, with SSW contributing a healthy 22.7% - together they account for roughly three-quarters of all wave energy. Most waves sit in the 3-5ft (1-1.5m) zone, though a notable 19% of SW waves reach 5-6.5ft (1.5-2m), offering occasional punch for a summer month. The offshore wind window remains tight at just 12%, as the wind rose shows a strong prevalence of SSW (12.0%), ESE (11.6%), S (11.4%), and SW (11.0%) breezes - all onshore or cross-onshore for a south-facing beach.
