The average swell height is 0.9m (3ft) and the average period is 12.0s, but the direction distribution now shows a healthy spread between W (38.9%), WSW (38.7%) and SW (18.5%). This southwest component is critical: it means more waves are starting to wrap into the south-facing point, even if the pure S/SSW angle is still modest. Wave heights remain mostly in that fun-sized 0.5-1m (2-3ft) range, with about 24% pushing into 1-1.5m (3-5ft). The wind picture is a little more mixed - offshore N/NNE/NW flow is still present, but the onshore W (18.7%) and WSW (15.1%) sea breeze is becoming a regular afternoon feature. Ideal wind drops to 51%, so the call is clear: surf early. Rainfall collapses to just 0.69 mm/day, air temperatures climb to 15.5°C, and water temps bottom out at 13.4°C. With drier skies and longer days, April is prime time for dawn-patrol sessions on clean, long-period southwest swell.
