March is arguably the standout month at Senoritas. The average swell height reaches 1.6m (5-6ft), the average wave period stretches to 13.5 seconds, and the ideal offshore wind frequency peaks at 12 percent - the highest of the entire year. The swell distribution is outstanding: SSW accounts for 83 percent of the energy, and within that direction the 1.5-2m (5-7ft) class dominates at 44 percent, with nearly 8 percent rolling in at 2-2.5m (7-8ft). This is heavy, firing, long-period groundswell, the kind that makes an exposed WSW break light up. The wind rose still shows a strong S/SSW/SW signal, but the 12 percent window of offshore E/NE flow is your golden ticket. When the South Pacific high shifts just far enough north, the early mornings turn glassy and that raw Pacific energy lines up perfectly. Water temp holds at 19.2°C (67°F), rainfall is a mere 0.19 mm/day, and the air stays warm and dry. If you can only chase one month at Senoritas, make it March.
