Dracula earns its name and reputation as the evil twin of Boilers—a clandestine reef setup lurking roughly 500 meters south of its more famous sibling. Here, a jagged field of vampire-teeth rocks pierces the surface, creating an atmosphere that's as mesmerizing as it is menacing. This is not a spot for the faint of heart or the inexperienced; Dracula is purpose-built for advanced surfers who thrive on challenge and consequence. The wave itself is a fast, right-hand point break that unloads over a shallow, uneven reef. It gobbles up swell from the northwest most efficiently, though it can also make something of southwest and north pulses. When the swell ticks around 4 feet (1.2 meters), the reef comes alive with a steep, hollow, and often unpredictable shape. Ideal conditions align with a northeast wind grooming the face and a mid-tide window that balances coverage over the rocks without exposing too much danger. Access is a test in itself—the entry and exit are notoriously tricky, demanding a high level of awareness and physical readiness. Best Surf Season (October - March)

Dracula's is a west-southwest-facing Moroccan reef/point setup that comes alive when the North Atlantic hands over long-period energy and the land breeze blows offshore. The best window runs from October through March, when passing mid-latitude lows and a suppressed Azores High drive a steady supply of 2m-plus (6-8ft) swells. Average periods sit in the 11.6-13.3s range, giving the swell enough time to wrap into the bay and stand up on the reef. At the same time, offshore flow from the NE through ESE quadrant is most reliable, with ideal wind frequency reaching 49-60 percent. A negative or neutral NAO phase can make these months especially good, as the storm track dives closer to the Moroccan coast.
